I took the plunge in to the world of Floristry in 2016, when I took a couple of weeks off from my Accountancy job to attend Flower School Glasgow, and haven’t looked back since. From 2016 until the end of 2018 I worked for a local florist, which helped me find my feet, and pushed me out of my comfort zone several times. In March 2019, The Flower Bee opened its doors for the first time. I never planned on running my own business so soon, but I would never look back. I love being my own boss more than I ever thought I would, choosing the florals every week, making decisions on which gift stock to order, and being the point of contact for all my lovely customers. I enjoy all aspects of the job, from the ordering to the sweeping up. From putting together a lovely bridal bouquet, to designing someone’s final farewell flowers. I love the challenge of something new, so don’t be afraid to let me know any ideas you have.
