We started our journey in wedding flowers back in 2014 but 2022 saw us open our walk-in studio in Scarva, Co Down beside the Tea Rooms and we’ve broadened the product offering to include beautiful gift and occasion flowers. Established in 1996 Thistles florist was originally in a High Street location. In order to offer a more bespoke service the business is now run from my home studio which allows more flexibility to my clients and I can offer home visits and out of hour’s consultations. Clients are welcome to visit my studio in Ashtead to talk through their requirements by appointment or orders can be placed on my website or by telephone. Even after many years in the industry it is important to me to keep up with new varieties & trends and offer my clients the best quality products and produce designs to the highest standard. I am a perfectionist and passionate about Floristry. I like to use British Flowers and foliage where possible and compost all my green waste and all my cardboard packing is recycled. Clients will often ask me to include plant material from their own garden in a design, which I am happy to do as it allows my work to be different; I will often add something from my own garden or pick grasses to give my work a quirky twist to stand out from the crowd.
